Patricia Amezquita, M.D.
Dr. Patricia Amezquita was born and raised in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. She graduated from Medical School at the University of Guanajuato. Dr. Patricia Amezquita completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Hospital de la Luz (HOL), Mexico City, the first established Opthamologist Hospital in Mexico. She completed a Fellowship in Microsurgery of the Anterior Segment of the Eye at the Hospital de la Luz. Dr. Patricia Amezquita also completed a second Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the Association to Prevent Blindness in Mexico (APEC) at the University Autonomous of Mexico, which is among the most prestigious ophthalmologists hospitals in the country.
Dr. Patricia Amezquita practiced Ophthalmology for seven years at a private practice, including prestigious private hospitals in Mexico City. In 2020, she moved to Charleston, SC, joined Retina Consultants of Charleston in 2021, and became the Clinical Trials Director of the West Ashley location in January 2022.
